Job summary

Cano Health LLC is seeking a Medical Assistant to join our primary care team. You will interview patients, document medical histories, and perform vital sign measurements while upholding infection control standards. You will administer vaccines and support pre‑visit planning within the EMR.

Responsibilities include assisting with point‑of‑care testing, phlebotomy, EKGs, and care coordination. Fluency in English and Spanish is required; experience with eCW is preferred and Power BI/Oracle

Qualifications

• Must be bilingual: English and Spanish.
• Graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program or certification.
• Active and current BLS certification.
• Proficiency with electronic medical records (preferably eCW).
• Knowledge of Power BI and Oracle is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Interview patients and document top complaints, health concerns, and medical history.
• Measure and record vital signs: BP, temp, pulse, oxygen, height, weight.
• Administer vaccines, injections, and document in systems.
• Conduct point‑of‑care testing (COVID‑19, flu, glucose, etc.).
• Assist with EKGs, spirometry, RetinaVue imaging, and other diagnostic workflows.
• Maintain infection control and PPE protocol.
• Prepping encounters in EMR and chart reviews.
• Reconcile medications and assist with prescriptions.
• Schedule appointments and coordinate follow‑ups.
• Coordinate referrals and care transitions.
• Assist with care gap closure and HEDIS measures.
• Promote Patient Portal enrollment and wellness outreach.
