Job summary

ArchWell Health seeks a Medical Assistant to support the PCP and care team in delivering compassionate primary care. You will greet and room members, assist in assessing health conditions, and perform routine diagnostic testing during appointments.

The MA-Float may cover centers as needed, with a focus on patient experience, safety, and accurate documentation. Strong EMR experience and geriatric care exposure are valued.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Graduate from a nationally accredited Medical Assistant program or comparable training required.
• Minimum 1 year work experience as a Medical Assistant.
• 6+ months phlebotomy experience highly desired.
• BLS for Healthcare Providers required.
• EClinicalWorks or similar EMR experience.
• Experience with geriatric patients a plus.

Responsibilities

• Conduct intake, measure vital signs, collect medical history, and perform routine screenings.
• Actively engage with patients and report changes to PCP or specialists.
• Manage patient communications, including calls and messages for physician coordination.
• Change dressings, apply bandages, remove sutures, and perform basic first aid under supervision.
• Ensure OSHA compliance and thorough documentation at all times.
• Provide health coaching to a defined patient group and follow up weekly.
