Job summary

ArchWell Health seeks a Medical Assistant to support PCPs in delivering compassionate primary care. The MA will greet and room members, collect vitals, and assist with exams and routine tests, collaborating closely with the care team.

The role emphasizes patient experience, accurate documentation, and health coaching within a senior-focused, value-based care model. Some coverage outside primary center may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Graduation from a nationally accredited Medical Assistant program or equivalent healthcare vocational training required.
• Minimum of 1 year work experience as a Medical Assistant.
• Phlebotomy experience 6+ months is highly desired.
• BLS for Healthcare Providers required.
• EClinical Works or similar EMR experience.

Responsibilities

• Conduct intake with patients, measuring and recording vital signs, patient interview and medical history; perform examinations and routine screenings.
• Critically listen and engage with patients during appointments and report changes to the PCP or other clinicians.
• Process patient messages, return calls, route inquiries to appropriate team members, and relay information to physicians.
• Change dressings, apply bandages, remove sutures; perform basic first aid under physician supervision.
• Ensure OSHA safety standards, and complete accurate documentation.
• Provide health coaching to defined patient groups with weekly follow-ups.
