Job summary

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or GED.
• Preferred: completion of a formal medical assistant training program.
• Experience: working with confidential information in fast-paced environments.
• Certifications: Medical Assistant Certification.
• BLS from the American Heart Association required.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficient with computers, software, and web-based applications.

Responsibilities

• Supports the patient and provider throughout the patient visit.
• Prepares patient room and ensures readiness for the visit.
• Ensures questions are answered before departure and facilitates next appointment.
• Provides excellent patient service via phone and in person.
• Completes documentation including patient registration if needed.
• Maintains clinical knowledge and credentials through ongoing development.
• Complies with applicable laws, regulations, and organizational policies.
