Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Current, nationally recognized Medical Assistant certification or ability to obtain within 180 days.
• Current BLS certification for healthcare providers at time of hire or within 30 days.
• Knowledge of medical terminology.
• Basic computer literacy with intermediate Excel skills.
• Ability to react calmly in emergencies.
• Demonstrated communication and customer service skills.
• Tuberculosis screening and immunity documentation required.

Responsibilities

• Performs duties within Medical Assistant scope, operates diagnostic equipment, collects specimens, and administers non-intravenous medications.
• Prepares patients and exam rooms for procedures.
• Documents patient care in the medical record accurately and timely.
• Coordinates patient care as directed by physicians and policies.
• Maintains patient confidentiality and professional conduct.
• Assists in infection control, instrument sterilization, and room readiness.
