Job summary

Trinity Health IHA Medical Group is seeking a compassionate and motivated Medical Assistant to support providers in delivering patient care. You'll work directly with patients, assist with exams and procedures, and help create a positive healthcare experience each day.

Ideal candidates will have a High School diploma or GED, completion of an MA program or EMT/Paramedic/athletic trainer credential, and 0–1 year clinical experience.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Completion of MA program/externship/internship or EMT/Paramedic credential required.
• MA credentialing options include CMA, RMA, NCMA, CCMA, NRCMA, or CMAC.
• 0–1 year clinical experience preferred or equivalent education/experience.

Responsibilities

• Welcome and prepare patients for appointments.
• Collect and document patient histories, vital signs, and health information.
• Assist providers with exams, procedures, testing, and specimen collection.
• Administer medications and perform diagnostic testing as directed.
• Communicate test results and provider instructions to patients.
• Provide patient and family education to support better health outcomes.
• Coordinate care between patients and providers; support care coordination.
• Support quality improvement initiatives and disease management programs.
