Job summary

Trinity Health IHA Medical Group is seeking a compassionate Medical Assistant to support providers in delivering exceptional patient care. You will welcome patients, assist with exams and testing, and help coordinate care in a busy clinical setting.

The ideal candidate has a High School diploma or GED and completion of an MA program or related credentialing pathway; EMT/Paramedic training is also considered.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; completion of an accredited MA program and externship/internship, EMT program, or Paramedic program preferred.
• MAT certification or eligibility is beneficial per credentialing options listed in the ad.
• 0–1 year clinical experience preferred; otherwise 2+ years in a community clinic may be considered.

Responsibilities

• Welcome and prepare patients for appointments.
• Document patient histories, vital signs, and health information.
• Assist providers with exams, procedures, testing, and specimen collection.
• Administer medications and perform diagnostic testing as directed.
• Communicate test results and instructions to patients.
• Provide patient and family education to support better health outcomes.
• Coordinate care between patients and providers.
• Support quality improvement and disease management programs.
