Job summary
Trinity Health IHA Medical Group is seeking a compassionate Medical Assistant to support providers in delivering high-quality patient care. You will work directly with patients, assist with clinical procedures, and help create a positive healthcare experience.
You will welcome patients, document histories and vital signs, assist with exams, administer medications, and educate families to promote better health outcomes.
Qualifications
- MA certification or EMT/Paramedic license is desired or eligible.
- High school diploma and completion of MA program or approved externship.
- Current CPR certification preferred.
Responsibilities
- Welcome and prepare patients for appointments.
- Collect and document patient histories, vital signs, and health information.
- Assist providers with exams, procedures, testing, and specimen collection.
- Administer medications and perform diagnostic testing as directed.
- Communicate test results and provider instructions to patients.
- Provide patient and family education to support better health outcomes.
- Coordinate care and liaison between patients and providers.
- Support quality improvement initiatives and disease management programs.
