Job summary

Trinity Health IHA Medical Group is seeking a compassionate Medical Assistant to support providers in delivering patient care. You'll work directly with patients, assist with exams, testing, and specimen collection while coordinating care to enhance outcomes.

Ideal candidates have a High School Diploma or GED and completion of an MA program or EMS training. CPR certification is required, with 0–1 year of clinical experience preferred, and opportunities for growth within a mission-driven

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED and completion of an MA program or equivalent.
• EMT, Paramedic, or Certified Athletic Trainer credentials are acceptable.
• Maintain CPR certification and MA re-certification if credentialed.
• 0–1 year clinical experience preferred; may accept 2+ years if no MA program.
• Ability to support exams, testing, and care coordination.

Responsibilities

• Welcome and prepare patients for appointments.
• Document histories, vital signs, and health information.
• Assist with exams, procedures, testing, and specimen collection.
• Administer medications and conduct diagnostic testing as directed.
• Communicate results and instructions to patients.
• Provide patient and family education to support outcomes.
• Coordinate care between patients and providers.
• Support quality improvement and disease management initiatives.
• Handle test tracking, tasks, gaps in care, supply, and scheduling.
