Job summary

Mercy Health is seeking a Medical Assistant for the Lima Medical Office Building. You will perform clinical and administrative tasks under provider supervision, measuring vital signs, documenting patient information, and assisting with exams.

Enrollment in an approved MA program within 30 days of employment is required, along with MA certification within 12 months. Qualified candidates should be able to manage multiple tasks in a high-volume setting, maintain sterile technique, and communicate

Qualifications

• High School or GED is required.
• Enrollment in an approved Medical Assistant program required within 30 days of employment.
• Active Medical Assisting certification within 12 months of start date is required.
• BLS certification required at specified locations or prior to independent patient care.

Responsibilities

• Under direction of the provider, assist with patient care and maintain standard of excellence.
• Identify changes in patient condition and report to the provider.
• Prepare examination rooms and assist physicians during visits.
• Document patient data, vital signs, and medical history in records.
• Administer medications as directed and manage routine lab tasks.
