Qualifications

• Performs patient history and vital signs under provider direction.
• Maintains documentation and accurate charting.
• Assists with procedures and medication administration as allowed.

Responsibilities

• Understands and adheres to legal responsibilities within Medical Assistant role.
• Identifies changes in patient condition through data collection and reports to the provider.
• Troubleshoots issues and escalates problems as needed.
• Maintains clinical and administrative skills per competency guidelines.
• Shows patients to examination rooms and prepares them for the physician.
• Performs routine laboratory tests and collects specimens.
• Performs general office duties such as answering phones and completing forms.
