Job summary

Mercy Health seeks a Certified Medical Assistant to support the Lima Medical Office Building team at 770 W High, assisting the primary care physician and ensuring patient records are accurate and up to date.

The role involves measuring vital signs, preparing treatment rooms, reviewing charts, and handling clerical duties while delivering respectful customer service in a state-guided medical environment.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Active Medical Assisting certification from CMA/RMA/CCMA or ABR-OE acceptable.
• BLS CPR certification required at hire for some locations; preferred prior to independent patient care.

Responsibilities

• Provides excellent customer service by greeting patients and the community respectfully.
• Prepares & reviews patient charts, verifies diagnostic test results and records are up to date.
• Measures vital signs such as pulse, respiration, BP, weight, and height.
• Performs clerical duties: inventory, stock supplies, track referrals, answer phones.
• Must be able to troubleshoot and resolve problems promptly.
• Other duties as assigned
