Qualifications

• High School/GED is required.
• Enrollment in an approved Medical Assistant program is required within 30 days of employment.
• Active MA certification is required within 12 months of start date or alternate ABR-OE/other accepted credentials.
• 1 year of MA experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Record patients' medical history and vital statistics.
• Interview patients to obtain medical information and measure vital signs.
• Prepare and administer medications as directed by a physician.
• Collect blood, tissue, or other specimens for testing and log results.
• Explain treatments and instructions to patients.
• Assist in preparing exam rooms and patient flow.
