Job summary

Trinity Health IHA Medical Group in Michigan is seeking a compassionate Medical Assistant to support providers in delivering patient care. You will greet patients, assist with exams, perform diagnostic testing, administer medications as directed, and coordinate care between patients and clinicians.

The role is part-time, requires a high school diploma or equivalent, MA program/externship or EMT/Paramedic eligibility, and CPR certification.

Qualifications

• MA program or externship; EMT or Paramedic path also acceptable.
• 1 year clinical experience preferred; strong patient care skills.
• CPR certification and credentialing as applicable.

Responsibilities

• Welcome and prepare patients for appointments.
• Document histories, vital signs, and health information.
• Assist providers with exams, procedures, testing, and specimen collection.
• Administer medications and perform diagnostic testing as directed.
• Communicate test results and instructions to patients.
• Provide patient/family education to support better outcomes.
• Coordinate care between patients and providers; support QA initiatives.
• Perform additional duties such as test tracking, tasks, and scheduling.
