Job summary

Trinity Health IHA Medical Group is seeking a compassionate Medical Assistant to support providers in delivering excellent patient care. You will welcome patients, take histories and vital signs, assist with exams, and help coordinate care while ensuring a positive experience for patients and families.

In this role you will administer medications, perform selected tests, and communicate results to patients.

Qualifications

• Education requirements include a High School Diploma or GED and MA program/externship, or EMT/Paramedic programs, or certified athletic trainer.
• 0–1 year of clinical experience preferred; 2+ years accepted if no MA program completed.

Responsibilities

• Welcome and prepare patients for appointments.
• Collect and document patient histories, vital signs, and health information.
• Assist providers with exams, procedures, testing, and specimen collection.
• Administer medications and perform diagnostic testing as directed.
• Communicate test results and provider instructions to patients.
• Provide patient and family education to support better health outcomes.
• Coordinate care and serve as a liaison between patients and providers.
• Support quality improvement initiatives and disease management programs.
