Job summary

Trinity Health IHA Medical Group is seeking a compassionate Medical Assistant to support providers in delivering high-quality patient care. You will welcome patients, assist with exams, collect histories and vital signs, and help coordinate care and education in a team-focused setting.

The role involves administering medications, performing diagnostic testing as directed, and communicating results to patients and families.

Qualifications

• 0-1 year of clinical experience or equivalent education preferred.
• Completion of an MA program and externship or internship is expected.
• CPR certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Welcome and prepare patients for appointments.
• Collect and document patient histories, vital signs, and health information.
• Assist providers with exams, procedures, testing, and specimen collection.
• Administer medications and perform diagnostic testing as directed.
• Communicate test results and provider instructions to patients.
• Provide patient and family education to support better health outcomes.
• Coordinate care and serve as a liaison between patients and providers.
• Support quality improvement initiatives and disease management programs.
