Job summary

ChenMed is expanding and seeks a Care Promoter 1 to support both administrative and clinical tasks across our primary care centers. You will assist physicians, collect patient data, prep patients for exams, and help manage patient flow under supervision.

Strong communication and teamwork are essential for success in a physician-led care team. Applicants should have a high school diploma, completion of an approved MA/PCT/EMT/Paramedic program, and BLS certification.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Graduation from Medical Assistant, Patient Care Technician, EMT or Paramedic program.
• BLS for Healthcare Providers required.
• Experience with geriatric patients is a plus.
• EMR system experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Measures and records patient vital signs and medical history.
• Catalogs and communicates patient needs to PCP and clinicians.
• Prepares patients for examinations and assists with exams.
• Observes patients and reports changes to physician.
• Collects specimens and performs basic lab tests.
• Prepares and administers medications under physician supervision.
• Maintains supplies and follows OSHA standards.
• Handles patient phone messages and coordinates with the team.
• Calls in prescriptions with ChenMed Rx system under physician guidance.
• Provides health coaching to patients with weekly follow-ups.
• Performs other duties as assigned by the manager.
