Job summary

ChenMed LLC is seeking a Medical Assistant (Care Promoter 1) to support physician‑led primary care teams. This unlicensed role crosses administrative and clinical duties under direct physician supervision, with responsibilities that vary by center and patient population.

You will measure vitals, document histories, assist exams, prepare patients, collect specimens, and support medication management under physician supervision. Travel up to 10% may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Graduate of Medical Assistant, Patient Care Technician, EMT or Paramedic program.
• BLS for Healthcare Providers required.
• Minimum 1 year of relevant work experience as MA/PCT/EMT/Paramedic.
• Experience working with geriatric patients is a plus.
• EMR system experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Measure and record patient vital signs.
• Record patient interview and medical history.
• Prepare patients for examinations and perform routine screening tests.
• Assist physician with exams and explain procedures to patients.
• Collect phlebotomy and other lab specimens; perform basic waived tests.
• Provide health coaching to a defined group of patients.
• Communicate patient needs to the PCP, Clinician, Specialist, and other staff.
• Process patient messages and relay information to physicians.
