Job summary

ChenMed Care Promoter 1 role in our physician-led care team supports primary care for a defined patient population. The position blends administrative tasks with clinical duties under direct physician supervision to help clinics run smoothly and deliver comprehensive care.

Qualified candidates will have a high school diploma, one year of relevant experience (MA/EMT/PC Technician/Paramedic), BLS, and strong communication and organizational skills with fluency in English.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Graduate of Medical Assistant, Patient Care Technician, EMT or Paramedic program.
• BLS for Healthcare Providers certification required.
• Experience with EMR systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Measures and records patient vital signs and medical history.
• Communicates patient needs to PCP/clinician and other staff.
• Prepares patients for exams and assists physicians during visits.
• Performs routine non-critical medical procedures under supervision.
• Collects lab specimens and performs basic waived tests.
• Administers medications and changes dressings under physician supervision.
• Maintains supplies and ensures proper documentation.
• Handles patient messages and relays information to the physician.
• Follows safety standards and professional conduct; may call in prescriptions.
• Provides health coaching and follows up with coached patients weekly.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, or holidays as needed.
