Qualifications

• Completion of an approved medical assistant training program as defined by state regulations.
• Active Medical Assistant Certification is required (CMA/RMA/CCMA/NCMA).
• BLS certification required.
• Requires strong computer skills and ability to work with medical software.

Responsibilities

• Prepares patient for exam by taking and recording vital signs and documenting chief complaints.
• Assists providers with exams and minor procedures and phlebotomy tasks.
• Manages patient care coordination including referrals, pre-certifications, and scheduling.
• Maintains complete medical records and billing-related information.
• Keeps clinical areas clean and sterilized; handles equipment maintenance and supplies.
• Orders and tracks supplies for patient care areas and medications.
• Maintains effective communication with patients and staff, supporting team care.
• Completes onboarding/orientation and adapts to clinical workflows.
• Interacts with physicians, patients, and external contacts to support patient health.
