Job summary

Banner Health is seeking a Medical Assistant to support clinicians and nursing staff in delivering high-quality patient care. The role involves clinical tasks, patient prep, and coordination of care within a fast-paced clinic.

The ideal candidate will have MA certification, BLS, and strong computer skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and provide excellent patient experiences. Sign-on bonuses are offered for qualified applicants.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Completion of an approved medical assistant training program per state regulations.
• Active Medical Assistant Certification is required.
• BLS certification required.
• MA certification with national organization or state requirements preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patient for exam by measuring vital signs and documenting chief complaint.
• Assist providers with exams, procedures, and basic phlebotomy and EKGs.
• Coordinate patient care including pre-certifications, referrals, and scheduling.
• Provide clerical support and ensure complete medical records and billing information.
• Maintain clean clinical environment and proper handling of equipment and supplies.
• Order supplies and manage medication recalls and expirations.
• Communicate with patients and staff to support care and appointment flow.
• Complete onboarding/orientation activities as required.
