Qualifications

• Completion of an approved medical assistant training program as defined by state regulations.
• Active Medical Assistant Certification is required.
• BLS certification required.
• Requires strong computer skills and ability to work with medical software.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for exams by recording vital signs and documenting chief complaints.
• Assist clinicians with exams and minor procedures; perform phlebotomy, ear irrigation, and EKGs as needed.
• Coordinate patient care including referrals, authorizations, and scheduling; communicate test results to patients.
• Maintain clean exam rooms and proper disinfection of equipment in accordance with OSHA guidelines.
• Order supplies and manage medication-related tasks; ensure accurate medical records and billing information.
