Job summary

Conviva Senior Primary Care in Ormond Beach, FL, is seeking a Medical Assistant 2 to be the first point of contact for patient care. The role combines administrative duties with clinical tasks and requires maintaining patient records in the EMR system.

Responsibilities include vital signs, vaccines/medication administration, phlebotomy, specimen collection, and room maintenance. TB screening and CPR certification are required, with bilingual English/Spanish skills considered a plus.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of MA school/training program or a Certified/Registered Medical Assistant or 5+ years of experience and approval from Provider.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• CPR Certified.
• This role is patient facing and is part of Humana's TB screening program; TB screening will be required if selected.

Responsibilities

• The Medical Assistant 2 is the first point of contact for patient care and handles administrative duties.
• Performs clinical duties such as discussing symptoms, obtaining vital signs, medication/vaccine administration, phlebotomy, specimen collection, and documenting information into the EMR.
• Maintains examination rooms, sterilizes/cleans equipment, and collaborates with Physicians and Advanced Practice Providers.
