Job summary

Yale New Haven Health (YNHHS) Milford location is seeking a Medical Assistant to support providers with patient care, rooming patients, and handling front desk tasks. You will prepare patients for visits, document in EPIC, and assist with procedures while maintaining patient comfort and safety.

Responsibilities include scheduling, chart management, infection control, and collaborating with the care team to coordinate patient-centered care. Strong communication and confidentiality are essential.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required; MA certificate or CNA/EMT/Paramedic certification preferred.
• Minimum of one year of experience as MA/CNA/EMT/ACA/PCA/paramedic or phlebotomist required; new graduates considered.
• Certification/registration (CCMA/CMA/AAMA/RMA) preferred; BLS preferred.
• HIPAA/ OSHA knowledge applicable to role.

Responsibilities

• Performs patient care responsibilities as assigned and assists physicians/providers with procedures.
• Performs administrative tasks including scheduling, chart management, and medical records handling.
• Maintains infection control and cleans/re-stocks rooms and equipment between visits.
• Engages in patient education, care coordination, and documentation in EPIC.
