Job summary

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma and MA-related training, with preferred certification in BLS and 1 year of ambulatory care experience.

Qualifications

• High School diploma required.
• Completion of an accredited medical assistant certificate or equivalent program, or CNA/EMT/Paramedic training.
• BLS certification preferred; certification/registration may be substituted for formal MA program.
• Minimum 1 year of relevant experience in ambulatory care settings preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist physicians with patient care and rooming.
• Schedule appointments and manage patient charts in EPIC.
• Perform clerical and environmental tasks per department policy.
• Provide patient instructions and referrals as directed by the provider.
