Job summary

Trinity Health IHA Medical Group seeks a compassionate Medical Assistant to support providers in delivering high-quality patient care. You will work directly with patients, assist clinical procedures, and help create a positive healthcare experience.

Responsibilities include preparing patients, documenting vitals, assisting with exams, administering medications, and educating patients. 0–1 year experience preferred; MA certification or EMT/paramedic training may be required.

Qualifications

• 0–1 year clinical experience preferred; in absence, 2+ years in community clinic.
• Completion of MA program/externship or EMT/paramedic training preferred.
• Current MA certification/recertification desired where applicable.

Responsibilities

• Welcome and prepare patients for appointments.
• Collect and document patient histories, vitals, and health data.
• Assist with exams, procedures, testing, and specimen collection.
• Administer medications and perform diagnostic testing as directed.
• Communicate results and instructions to patients.
• Provide patient and family education for better health outcomes.
• Coordinate care between patients and providers; support QA initiatives.
