Job summary

Trinity Health IHA Medical Group is seeking a compassionate Medical Assistant (MA) to support providers in delivering high-quality patient care. The role involves direct patient interaction, assisting with clinical procedures, care coordination, and contributing to a positive healthcare experience.

Key duties include welcoming patients, documenting histories and vitals, assisting with exams and testing, administering medications as directed, and educating patients and families to improve health

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Completion of accredited MA program and externship/internship or EMT/Paramedic training or Certified Athletic Trainer is preferred.
• Current MA certification or eligibility and CPR certification are desirable.

Responsibilities

• Welcome and prepare patients for appointments.
• Collect and document patient histories, vital signs, and health information.
• Assist providers with exams, procedures, testing, and specimen collection.
• Administer medications and perform diagnostic testing as directed.
• Communicate test results and provider instructions to patients.
• Provide patient and family education to support better health outcomes.
• Coordinate care and serve as a liaison between patients and providers.
• Support quality improvement initiatives and disease management programs.
