Job summary

Allevate Health in New Jersey seeks a compassionate Medical Assistant to support providers in outpatient ketamine infusions and Spravato therapy, blending clinical and administrative duties with a focus on patient safety and accurate documentation.

You will welcome patients, assist with histories, vitals, venipuncture, injections, and wound care; prepare rooms and equipment; and help with scheduling and records. A HS diploma and medical assisting training are preferred, EMR experience a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• CAAHEP/ABHES medical assisting program preferred.
• AAMA certification preferred.
• Experience in an infusion clinic, behavioral health setting, or similar outpatient medical practice preferred.
• Experience with electronic medical records and patient scheduling systems is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Welcome patients and support clinical care.
• Obtain histories, measure vital signs, venipuncture, injections, and wound care as directed.
• Prepare patients, treatment rooms, equipment, and supplies for scheduled appointments and procedures.
• Assist with ketamine infusions and Spravato treatments while prioritizing patient safety and adherence to protocols.
• Administer or distribute medications as directed, following procedures.
• Verify patient documentation is complete before treatment.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe clinical environment.
