AltaMed Health Services Corp. seeks a Medical Assistant (MA) II to serve at the assigned clinic, PSC, or Patient Registry team. The MA welcomes patients, supports direct care, and maintains compassionate, respectful service while documenting in the EHR.

Candidates should have a Medical Assistant certificate and a high school diploma, with 1 year of outpatient back-office experience preferred; bilingual skills (English/Spanish/Mandarin/Cantonese) strongly preferred and BLS certification required.

Qualifications

• Medical Assistant certificate plus high school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 1 year of back-office MA experience in outpatient/clinic settings.
• Phlebotomy certification preferred.
• National MA certification preferred.
• Bilingual English/Spanish/Mandarin/Cantonese depending on location strongly preferred.
• Valid BLS certification or higher per AHA/Red Cross guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care and clerical support in the clinical setting.
• Build trusting relationships with patients and manage expectations with compassion.
• Document all care in the EHR and assist nursing staff as needed.
• Mentor and train Medical Assistants on the team.
• At Patient Service Center, perform duties over the phone when required.
