Job summary

Oaklawn Medical Group in Marshall, MI seeks a Medical Assistant to support clinical and administrative tasks under provider supervision. You will greet patients, take vitals, prepare exam rooms, document in EMR, assist with procedures, and help with scheduling, registrations, and referrals.

Qualified candidates will hold an active BLS and either CMA/RMA or LPN license in Michigan, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Qualifications

• Active BLS certification required within 3 months of hire.
• Qualified candidate will hold CMA, RMA, or MI LPN license at hire or be ready to obtain.
• Experience in a medical office and with EMR/EHR preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet and escort patients to exam rooms and record vital signs.
• Prepare patients for examination and assist provider with procedures.
• Document medical histories, immunizations, and meds in EMR.
• Schedule appointments, registrations, referrals and prior authorizations.
