Job summary

Qualifications

• Must have completed a Medical Assistant program or be in the final stage of completion.
• Current Basic Life Support certification required upon hire.
• One year of medical office experience preferred and ability to assist with procedures.

Responsibilities

• Complete nursing assessments including vital signs and relevant measurements.
• Review and document patient medications at each visit.
• Prepare patients for exams and procedures with age-appropriate communication.
• Provide patient education on diagnosis, procedures, contraception, home care, etc.
• Order and stock clinical supplies; manage inventory and maintain equipment cleanliness.
• Maintain EMR documentation and patient medical records; ensure privacy and policy adherence.
• Assist physician with procedures and patient discharge; handle prescriptions and pharmacy communications.
