Albuquerque Health Care for the Homeless seeks a dedicated Medical Assistant to join our clinic team in Albuquerque. You will support providers in procedures, take vital signs, room patients, and document care in the electronic health record, helping to deliver care in a compassionate, harm-reduction focused setting.

This full-time, non-exempt role requires completing a Medical Assistant program and prior MA experience.

Qualifications

• Completion of a Medical Assistant program.
• Experience documenting services in an electronic health record.
• Experience as a Medical Assistant.
• Ability to thrive in a complex healthcare setting.

Responsabilités

• Room patients, take basic medical history and vital signs.
• Assist providers in various procedures.
• Perform wound care, injections/immunization, and lab procedures.
• Prepare and stock examination rooms.
• Participate in medical outreaches in the service area.
