Job summary

Presbyterian Healthcare Services in Albuquerque, NM is seeking a skilled Medical Assistant to provide direct patient care in our outpatient clinic. You will prepare patients for visits, support the provider with treatments, and help with clerical tasks including scheduling and EMR support.

Qualifications include high school diploma or equivalent, MA experience or completion of MA/NA program, BLS, and Presbyterian MA Advanced Skills Training within 90 days.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Six months MA experience or completion of MA or Nursing Assistant program.
• Successful completion of Presbyterian MA Advanced Skills Training within 90 days of hire.
• Maintains current certifications in emergency response training (e.g. BLS).

Responsibilities

• Prepare patient for rooming and exam.
• Prepare and administer medications and immunizations.
• Suture/Staple removal and dressing changes.
• Collect laboratory specimens and prepare samples.
• Provide basic education to patients.
• Set up aseptic and sterile procedures.
• Performs other duties as required.
