Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; completion of an MA program with externship/internship preferred.
• Credentialed MA options include CMA, RMA, NCMA, CCMA, NRCMA, CMAC.
• 0–1 year clinical experience preferred; if no MA program, 2+ years of clinical support experience may suffice.

Responsibilities

• Welcome and prepare patients for appointments.
• Collect and document patient histories, vital signs, and health information.
• Assist providers with exams, procedures, testing, and specimen collection.
• Administer medications and perform diagnostic testing as directed.
• Communicate test results and provider instructions to patients.
• Provide patient and family education to support better health outcomes.
• Coordinate care and act as liaison between patients and providers.
• Support quality improvement initiatives and disease management programs.
