Job summary

Trinity Health IHA Medical Group seeks a compassionate Medical Assistant to support providers, assist with clinical procedures, and help create a positive patient care experience. You will work directly with patients, document histories and vital signs, and coordinate care across the team.

The full-time, day-shift position emphasizes teamwork, patient education, and seamless support for exams, tests, and care delivery in a Southeast Michigan setting.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED is required.
Completion of an accredited MA program/externship/internship or EMT/Paramedic training.
MA certification or active state license is preferred.

Responsibilities

Welcome and prepare patients for appointments.
Collect and document patient histories, vital signs, and health information.
Assist providers with exams, procedures, testing, and specimen collection.
Administer medications and perform diagnostic testing as directed.
Communicate test results and provider instructions to patients.
Provide patient and family education to support better health outcomes.
Coordinate care and serve as a liaison between patients and providers.
Support quality improvement initiatives and disease management programs.
