Job summary

WellSpan Health is seeking a Medical Assistant for full-time, day shift duties in a patient-centered practice. You will assist in direct patient care, take vitals, prepare procedures, and support clinicians with documentation and education.

A high school diploma or GED is required, with preference for an Associate or Diploma in Medical Assistant. BLS is required; CMA certification is preferred. Strong teamwork and communication are essential for success.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1 year Medical Assistant experience required.
• Completion of a Medical Assistant program required or preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required upon hire.
• Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) preferred upon hire.
• Medical terminology knowledge beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Obtain and document reason for visit and patient vitals.
• Prepare patients for procedures and ensure sterile setup.
• Assist with specimen collection and lab workflows.
• Administer vaccines/medications as qualified and supervised.
• Document prescriptions and refills per protocol.
• Support provider during visits and manage patient education.
