Job summary

Trinity Health IHA Medical Group is seeking a compassionate Medical Assistant to support clinicians in delivering patient-centered care. You will greet patients, document histories and vital signs, assist with exams and procedures, and help coordinate care across the care team.

The role requires an accredited MA program with externship/internship or an EMT/Paramedic path, CPR certification, and current licensure or credentialing where applicable. Growth and comprehensive benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Completion of accredited/approved MA program and externship/internship, or EMT/Paramedic program, or Certified Athletic Trainer.
• If credentialed, maintain current MA Re-Certification CEUs.
• Valid CPR certification.
• MA credentialing through CMA/RMA/NCMA/CCMA/NRCMA/CMAC eligible or current license in state.

Responsibilities

• Welcome and prepare patients for appointments.
• Collect and document patient histories, vital signs, and health information.
• Assist providers with exams, procedures, testing, and specimen collection.
• Administer medications and perform diagnostic testing as directed.
• Communicate test results and provider instructions to patients.
• Provide patient and family education to support better health outcomes.
• Coordinate care between patients and providers.
• Support quality improvement initiatives and disease management programs.
