Job summary

Trinity Health IHA Medical Group is seeking a compassionate Medical Assistant to support providers in delivering exceptional patient care. You will work directly with patients, assist with clinical procedures, and help create a positive healthcare experience every day.

The role involves welcoming patients, collecting histories and vital signs, assisting with exams, administering medications, and coordinating care with a focus on quality improvement and patient education.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Completion of accredited MA program and externship preferred.
• CPR certification required or maintained.

Responsibilities

• Welcome and prepare patients for appointments.
• Collect and document patient histories, vital signs, and health information.
• Assist providers with exams, procedures, testing, and specimen collection.
• Administer medications and perform diagnostic testing as directed.
• Communicate test results and provider instructions to patients.
• Provide patient and family education to support better health outcomes.
• Coordinate care and serve as a liaison between patients and providers.
• Support quality improvement initiatives and disease management programs.
