Job summary

Trinity Health IHA Medical Group is seeking a compassionate Medical Assistant to support providers in delivering excellent patient care. You will work directly with patients, assist with clinical procedures, support care coordination, and help create a positive healthcare experience daily.

Role includes welcoming patients, documenting histories and vitals, assisting with exams, administering medications, and educating patients. Credentialing options and CPR are required.

Qualifications

• Must have High School Diploma or GED and completion of an MA program/externship.
• Credentialed MA path preferred (CMA/RMA/NCMA/CCMA/NRCMA/CMAC) or EMT/Paramedic with MA opportunities.
• CPR certification required; Michigan MA licensure where applicable.

Responsibilities

• Welcome and prepare patients for appointments.
• Collect and document patient histories, vital signs, and health information.
• Assist providers with exams, procedures, testing, and specimen collection.
• Administer medications and perform diagnostic testing as directed.
• Communicate test results and provider instructions to patients.
• Provide patient and family education to support better health outcomes.
• Coordinate care and serve as a liaison between patients and providers.
• Support quality improvement initiatives and disease management programs.
