Job summary

Trinity Health IHA Medical Group is seeking a compassionate Medical Assistant to support providers in delivering exceptional patient care. You will work directly with patients, assist with clinical procedures, support care coordination, and help create a positive healthcare experience daily.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED and MA-related credentials; EMT/Paramedic training or a CMA/RMA/NCMA/CCMA/NRCMA/CMAC credential is valued. CPR certification is expected.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Completion of an MA program and externship or internship is preferred.
• EMT or Paramedic training may be considered in lieu of MA program.
• Credentialed MA options: CMA, RMA, NCMA, CCMA, NRCMA or CMAC.
• Current CPR certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Welcome and prepare patients for appointments.
• Collect and document patient histories, vital signs, and health information.
• Assist providers with exams, procedures, testing, and specimen collection.
• Administer medications and perform diagnostic testing as directed.
• Communicate test results and provider instructions to patients.
• Provide patient and family education to support better health outcomes.
• Coordinate care and serve as a liaison between patients and providers.
• Support quality improvement initiatives and disease management programs.
