Job summary

Care New England is seeking a Medical Assistant to support daily clinical operations across primary care and specialty practices. You will perform rooming, vital signs, injections, phlebotomy, and specimen collection while maintaining accurate EPIC documentation and patient privacy.

You will collaborate with licensed providers, educate patients, and help coordinate follow-up care in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of a medical assistant training program and/or 6–12 months of job-related experience.
• Proficient in vital signs assessment, administering injections, performing phlebotomy, conducting lab tests, and operating medical equipment.
• Skilled in using EHR systems, including EPIC, for documentation.
• Able to manage multiple priorities in a busy practice and maintain HIPAA compliance.

Responsibilities

• Performs rooming procedures with patient identification and vitals.
• Assists with EKGs, immunizations, wound care, and specimen collection.
• Obtains prior authorizations for imaging studies and meds.
• Maintains charting, documentation in EPIC, and patient privacy.
