Job summary

The role includes patient education, administrative duties, and possible travel to satellite clinics. The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or GED and 3–5 years in a healthcare setting, with preference for clinic experience.

Qualifications

• Excellent interpersonal skills for effective communication with patients and staff.
• Mandatory OSHA training completed annually.
• Knowledge of medical office policies, practices and procedures.
• 3–5 years of experience in healthcare settings, preferred in a physician clinic.
• Strong coordination skills to ensure high-quality patient care and continuity.
• Ability to educate patients and families about medications and care plans.

Responsibilities

• Triages calls, schedules urgent/add-on visits, relays test results and coordinates referrals.
• Performs routine pre-exam procedures, records vitals, reconciles records and processes referrals and refills within scope.
• Assists providers during examinations and procedures.
• Prepares and cleans exam rooms, sets up equipment, and sterilizes instruments.
• Demonstrates safety and HIPAA-compliant patient data handling.
• Maintains and documents patient records; may travel to satellite clinics if required.
