Job summary

Women’s Health of Central MA is seeking a Certified or Registered Medical Assistant to join our obstetrics/gynecology team. The role supports direct and indirect patient care under supervision, ensuring smooth clinical operations and a compassionate, patient-centered experience.

You will escort patients, take vitals, assist clinicians, perform basic labs, document in the EMR, triage messages, restock exam rooms, and travel between Worcester and Sturbridge offices to support the clinical team.

Qualifications

Current certification or registration as a Medical Assistant (required).
High school diploma or GED (required).
Strong English communication skills, both written and verbal.
One year of medical experience in a physician’s office, clinic, or hospital preferred; OB/GYN experience is a plus.
Careful listening, critical thinking, and sharp clinical judgment.

Responsibilities

Escort patients to exam rooms, interview patients, measure vital signs, and document information in the EMR.
Assist physicians and midwives during examinations and procedures in the exam rooms.
Perform basic laboratory testing (e.g., urine dipsticks, pregnancy tests).
Provide clear medical guidance to patients as directed by physicians or midwives.
