Job summary

Sunrise Senior Living in Virginia is seeking a dedicated Medication Aide / Med Tech to administer medications and treatments to residents accurately and safely, following physician orders and the Six Rights of Medication Administration.

You will document in MAR/TAR in real time, observe residents during passes, report concerns promptly, and maintain clean carts while adhering to infection control and safety standards.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED and age 18+.
• Medication Administration certification.
• CPR and First Aid certifications.
• Strong documentation and communication skills.
• Senior care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications and treatments per physician orders.
• Follow the Six Rights of Medication Administration.
• Document in MAR/TAR accurately and in real time.
• Observe residents during and after medication passes.
• Monitor symptoms and administer medications as ordered for relief.
• Report refusals or concerns promptly.
• Complete narcotic counts per policy.
• Maintain clean, organized medication carts and rooms.
• Follow infection control and safety standards.
