Job summary

Harmony Senior Services in Roanoke, Virginia is hiring a Med Tech to provide quality resident care, assist with daily living activities, and help administer medications within scope of practice.

The role requires CNA and Med Tech licenses, a high school diploma or GED, completion of Medication Aide Course, and strong communication. Training, confidentiality, and teamwork are essential; we offer a 401k and flexible scheduling as part of a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Medication Aide Course completed required.
• CNA and Med Tech licenses from State Board in good standing required.
• Must pass annual medication observations and cart audits.
• Must complete 4 hours of medication education annually.
• Strong communication, organization, and teamwork skills.
• Able to lift and assist residents; physical requirements.
• Flexible schedule including weekends and holidays.
• CPR/First Aid certification required or willingness to obtain within 60 days.

Responsibilities

• Administer prescribed medications per scope of practice.
• Assist residents with activities of daily living.
• Perform medication cart audits and maintain EMAR/MAR.
• Report incidents and concerns to supervisor.
• Assist in resident activities and daily housekeeping.
• Communicate status and transfers in Daily Log.
• Attend required medication trainings and in-services.
• Support nursing team and maintain confidentiality.
