Job summary

MorningStar of Albuquerque is seeking a Med Tech to join our full-time team. You will administer, pour, and document medications per physician orders under the Wellness Director, while learning residents’ preferences and ensuring safety and comfort.

Qualifications

• Minimum high school diploma or equivalent required.
• Must have completed state-approved Medication Administration training.
• Experience in assisted living or memory care preferred.

Responsibilities

• Administer and document prescribed medications per MAR and physician orders.
• Order medications as prescribed to ensure continuous availability.
• Record medications administered and initial bubble pack after administration.
• Monitor for reactions and report adverse events to licensed staff.
• Take vital signs prior to medications that may affect readings.
• Assist in care planning and maintain resident privacy and dignity.
• Ensure safety and comfort; follow universal precautions and policies.
• Communicate clearly with licensed nurses and other team members.
