Job summary

Mass General Brigham is seeking a per diem Mammography Technologist to perform high-quality screening and diagnostic mammography while ensuring a reassuring patient experience. The role emphasizes patient positioning, image quality, and compassionate care in a fast-paced clinical setting.

The ideal candidate has 2–3 years of experience, ARRT/Mammography certifications preferred, and licensure requirements variably applicable.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or equivalent required.
Associate’s degree in related field preferred.
2–3 years of experience required, in accordance with state, federal, and regulatory agency rules and regulations.
Radiologic Technologist and Technician state license preferred.
Registered Technologist (ARRT) preferred.
Mammography certification (ARRT) preferred.
Basic Life Support certification preferred.

Responsibilities

Perform screening and diagnostic mammography procedures using imaging equipment and techniques.
Position patients accurately and compassionately to support image quality and patient safety.
Select proper imaging modes and exposure factors to produce high-quality diagnostic images.
Evaluate images for diagnostic quality and obtain additional images as needed.
Prepare and set up medical supplies using aseptic technique when appropriate.
Explain procedures clearly to patients and help create a supportive, comfortable care experience.
Recognize needs and behaviors of patients across age groups.
