Job summary

Wellstar Cobb Breast and X-Ray Center is seeking a Mammography Technologist (part-time) to provide safe, high‑quality imaging and patient support. You’ll be part of a collaborative team delivering compassionate care in a busy radiology setting in Georgia.

The role requires ARRT in radiography and mammography, BLS certification, and at least one year of mammography experience in a hospital. A strong emphasis on patient comfort and accurate imaging is essential.

Qualifications

• Education: HS diploma or equivalent and completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• Experience: 1 year as a Radiologic Technologist and 1 year mammography experience in a hospital.
• Certifications: ARRT-R, ARRT-M and BLS (American Heart Association).

Responsibilities

• Perform mammography exams per physician order and protocol.
• Verify patient identity using two identifiers.
• Explain the exam clearly to reduce anxiety (AIDET).
• Maintain patient privacy, dignity and comfort during positioning and transfers.
• Review images for quality and completeness; aim for first‑time acceptance.
• Use clinical judgment; resolve unclear orders and assist across imaging areas as needed.
• Operate mammography equipment safely; optimize dose and technique.
• Complete QC tests and document results (ACR/MQSA).
• Label, orient and document images in PACS/RIS; update charge capture daily.
