Job summary

New Castle Nursing & Rehab and Twin Oaks Assisted Living in New Castle, KY, seeks a dependable Maintenance Assistant to support our healthcare communities. The role offers $20–$25 per hour, full-time, with Monday–Friday schedule and on-call responsibilities as assigned.

You will perform general maintenance, plumbing, electrical work, and use an electronic work-order system, while staying engaged with residents and staff to keep facilities safe, clean, and welcoming.

Qualifications

• Experience with plumbing, basic electrical troubleshooting, general repairs.
• Strong computer skills with email, basic spreadsheets, electronic work orders.
• Physically able to access attics, climb ladders, and work in tight spaces.
• Personable, caring approach toward residents and staff.
• Initiative and follow‑through on tasks.
• Organization and dependability.

Responsibilities

• Perform general maintenance and repairs at New Castle Nursing & Rehab and Twin Oaks Assisted Living.
• Assist with plumbing repairs, painting, patching, basic carpentry, and routine upkeep.
• Troubleshoot electrical and equipment repairs including call lights and beds.
• Use the electronic maintenance system to track work orders and maintenance records.
• Help organize computer-based records, reports, and maintenance schedules.
• Support survey readiness through routine checks and timely corrections.
• Prepare resident rooms and common areas; maintain cleanliness and safety.
• Communicate maintenance updates clearly with residents and staff.
• Follow safety and infection prevention procedures.
