Job summary

Charter Senior Living in Owensboro, KY is seeking a Maintenance / Environmental Services Assistant. The role supports the Environmental Services Director with daily maintenance, safety, and appearance of the community, including apartments, common areas, grounds, and transportation services.

The ideal candidate is dependable, mechanically inclined, team-oriented, and dedicated to serving seniors in a fast-paced environment. Pay is $17-$18 per hour with full benefits options available.

Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of building maintenance, repair work, and safety procedures.
• Strong problem-solving and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Assist with general maintenance and repair tasks throughout the community
• Support upkeep of resident apartments, common areas, grounds, and equipment
• Assist with preventative maintenance and safety inspections
• Maintain cleanliness, organization, and overall appearance of the community
• Support basic plumbing, electrical, painting, carpentry, and mechanical repairs as needed
• Safely operate and maintain community vehicles and transportation equipment
• Drive the community van for resident transportation and outings as needed
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests and community needs
• Communicate effectively with leadership and other departments
• Build positive relationships with residents and provide excellent customer service
